When Hangar 9 decided to design an all-new Mustang .60 there were some mandatory features they wanted to include. This 60-sized almost-ready-to-fly airplane was designed to be the most realistic sport-scale ARF on the market. I had the opportunity to preview the P-51D Mustang with Peter Bergstrom, category manager for Hangar 9 and the P-51 product developer. This airplane stops people in their tracks when they see the level of detail incorporated in the model. The P-51D comes with new all-metal, mechanical spring-loaded retract gear assemblies. The wing includes scale-like flaps and the list of details goes on from there. The panel lines and rivets are actually printed right on the UltraCote! This airplane uses a total of 9 servos but can be flown with a 7-channel transmitter. Flight performance is excellent and not difficult in any way.
Watch our video interview with Peter and see for yourself how much thought has gone into this Hangar 9 favorite. We think you are going to need this one in your hangar.
